The chemistry between her and Daren is sizzling. The NA genre definitely needs more heroines like Madeline. I also appreciate how career driven she is and confident in her own success. She is not only beautiful, but she is intelligent and caring. She is lovable and the type of girl we all want to be friends with. I adored her immediately and my adoration only grew throughout the book. While Daren required much effort to win my affection, not the same can be said for Maddie. The cocky and allusive quarterback completely stole my heart, and I suspect he will do the same thing to the overwhelming majority of readers. While I thought Daren’s book would make me dislike him less, I never expected to fall head over heals in love with him. Due to my immense love of the series and complete faith in Lex Martin, I decided to give Daren the opportunity for redemption and understanding. Daren was my least favorite person in this series, and I had mixed emotions about reading his story. The Dearest Series has adorable and fun loving characters, and I have felt a close connection to all the heroes and heroines. I first became enamored with this series last year after stumbling upon Dearest Clementine, and it quickly became one of my favorite new series of 2014.
